Trent McDuffie is a local 2019 football player most Trojan fans are familiar with.

That’s because the 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back from St. John Bosco HS picked up a scholarship offer from the Trojans over a year ago.

Since then, McDuffie has been a regular on USC’s campus. He also placed USC on his list of 8 favorite schools this summer (along with Alabama, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Stanford, UCLA and Washington). He plans to continue looking into USC, along with all those other programs.

Even after a rough 3-2 start for the Trojans, McDuffie says he’s still high on the school. He says he’s willing to excuse a rough start.

“USC’s recent struggles doesn’t really have an impact on me to be honest,” McDuffie told USC247.com. “Teams go through up and downs. It’s just the way of football. And next year’s team won’t be the same team as this year.”

McDuffie hasn’t taken an official visit yet this year but he has one scheduled to Washington in October. He plans to make a commitment in December.
