USC QB commit Slovis: I look forward to learning from and competing with Daniels
Kedon Slovis made a commitment to USC over the summer, well before JT Daniels was named as the Trojans’ starter.
Clearly, that was also well before Daniels was receiving rave reviews from media outlets across the country for his play.
Despite what Daniels is doing, USC’s coaching staff is still showing a strong interest in Slovis. In fact, quarterback coach Bryan Ellis saw Slovis play a high school football game in person on Friday.
Slovis was thrilled to see Ellis. He’s also thrilled with his USC commitment. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect from Desert Mountain HS in Scottsdale, Ariz. insists he won’t change his mind. Even with Daniels’ strong play, he’s set on USC.
Slovis even says he can’t wait to play with Daniels.
“JT (Daniels) has been impressive so far, especially for only being a true freshman,” Slovis told USC247.com. “I’m excited to see how he plays the rest of the season. I look forward to getting a chance to learn from him and compete at the next level.”
