Tuesday Whispers
When I asked a USC coach who would win the Arizona and Colorado games, he confidently predicted USC.
When I asked who would win the Utah game, the answer was a little different.
"If we play like we did against Colorado, Utah will kick our ass," he said.
What does that mean specifically?
"We couldn't run the ball against Colorado and looked one-dimensional," he said. "We rely too much on our receivers."
A few USC fan sites are praising the defense but even that got criticized by the coach.
"We have some cornerbacks that play with fear. They have no confidence. They are worried about giving up a touchdown. That is why you see people grabbing jerseys or holding receivers," he said.
And what about the loss of Porter Gustin?
"We haven't been getting much pressure on the quarterback other than Porter," he said. "We need someone to step up but the truth is none of us know who it might be."
