Source: Key USC target makes silent commitment elsewhere
Bad news and USC football is synonymous at this point. So here’s some more bad news for Trojan fans. USC is likely going to miss out on one of the very few five-stars the school was expected to sign in this class.
I’ll pause for the potential gasp of surprise that won’t come.
According to a trusted source, Mater Dei HS ATH Bru McCoy has committed to Texas. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect was rumored to be leaning towards the Longhorns in recent weeks. Now, it appears almost inevitable he signs there.
McCoy would deny these claims and recently told USC247.com he was keeping everything even. We trust this source enough to say we don’t believe McCoy’s claims at this point.
If he follows through, McCoy will add to an impressive list of 2019 commits at Texas. The Longhorns currently have a universally recognized top 10 class. McCoy is the fifth recruit from the West Coast who holds a scholarship offer from both USC and Texas and chose the Longhorns.
