USC commit: It was a successful home visit, I am 100-percent!
Gino Quinones committed to USC after visiting the campus back in the spring. Ever since his pledge, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound lineman has stayed solid to it, even as USC’s season went way south.
That’s in part because of USC’s commitment to recruiting the product of St. Louis HS in Honolulu. Even though Quinones was flying under the radar before the Trojan staff found him, they have recruited him like he’s a five-star target.
That continued this week as Johnny Nansen visited Quinones on an in-home visit.
“When Coach Nansen came to my house, we talked a lot about what my scholarship holds and my future plans,” Quinones told usc247.com. “Also my official visit which is on December 15. Since I am enrolling to USC early, we talked about how my schedule would be from January throughout summer. This home visit was more of a business trip for us to really talk about things and get things planned ahead of my early enrollment. Although we mostly talked about important things, this was the first time I wasn’t nervous around a college recruiter or coach. Coach Nansen was very honest with pros and cons about all of my decisions I’m planning to make by going to USC. I would say this home visit was very successful and I will always and still am a solid 100% committed.”
