USC Officially Hires Mike Jinks
At least we know Clay Helton had nothing to do with this hire: Mike Jinks, who was Kliff Kingsbury's running backs coach at Texas Tech from 2013-15. He was also associate head coach in 2015.
He lasted 31 games as head coach at Bowling Green before getting fired with a 7-24 record.
So now he will be USC's running backs coach. In 2014, Texas Tech running back DeAndre Washington became the first Red Raiders player to rush for 1,000 yards since 1998.
OK, so it looks like Kingsbury needs to hire a wide receivers coach and Clancy Pendergast (or Helton) need to figure out who to hire as a defensive backs coach.
USC also officially announced the hiring of Boise State defensive line coach Chad Kauha'aha'a.
Is this change you can believe in?
