Four-star RB Jones: USC stayed together, that's why I love watching them
Universally recognized four-star tailback Nathaniel Jones is considered a key offensive weapon for St. John Bosco HS in Bellflower, Calif. That’s usually enough to earn any prospect an impressive collection of scholarship offers offers. Jones definitely has those offers in hand already.
He just doesn’t yet hold a scholarship offer from USC. At this moment, the Trojans have offered nine tailbacks in the 2020 class, including three backs from the West Coast. Those three backs would be Harbor City Narbonne HS’s JoJuan Collins, Clovis Buchanan HS’s Kendall Milton and also Tucson, Ariz. Salpointe Catholic HS’s Bijan Robinson.
But USC is still looking closely at all their options. After all, February 2020 is a long way away. Jones is considerable his options as well. Even without an offer from USC, he’s still highly interested in the Trojans. In fact, Jones was at the Coliseum on Friday to watch USC beat Washington State.
“I felt USC drove the ball very good down field when they started the game off,” Jones told USC247.com. “The defense missed some tackles but they stay together and trusted each other. That’s why I love watching them play. No matter how hard it gets, they find away to hold each other down and keep pushing. The coaching staff is great and I love the program.”
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back is expected to return to the Coliseum in the near future.
