Helton on Stanford offense: They're matchup nightmares
The media responsibilities for a USC head football coach never end. After Saturday's game, Helton spoke to the media at the postgame presser. On Sunday evening, he spoke to the media via teleconference. Tuesday's practice will result in more questions from a large crowd of reporters.
On Monday, the media doesn't have access to Helton. The Sports Information Department does though. The head coach answered questions about the UNLV game and looked ahead to Stanford.
When asked about traveling to Palo Alto, Calif. to play the Cardinal, Helton had nothing but praise for the AP Poll's tenth ranked team.
“When you play Stanford, it’s all about trying to stop the run and one of the best running backs in the country in Bryce Love," Helton said. "Where they really have grown over the years is the addition of KJ Costello and the big receivers and tight ends. They’re match up nightmares and then you put KJ in there and the accuracy he shows, not only to be able to find the one-on-one but to give his guys opportunities to make plays. It was just evident in that first ball game against San Diego State. Really tough game, it has always been a really close game in my nine years here and a really fierce battle.”
USC-Stanford can be watched on Fox at 5:30 PST.
