3-star DB commits to USC
Earlier this month, USC coaches reached out to three-star DB Kaluana Makaula. After a visit to USC and a scholarship offer, it seemed like only a matter of time before the product of Punahou HS would choose the Trojans over BYU and Hawaii. On Sunday night, he did just that.
Makaula announced on twitter his intentions to sign with USC on February 6. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder projects to play safety in college. If he does sign, he’ll be the second safety in the Trojan 2019 class. USC needs safeties desperately as Marvell Tell exhausted his eligibility and Bubba Bolden transferred to Miami.
