Former LSU commit plans USC visit
Jordan Berry is one of the best defensive linemen in Southern California and has been a target of USC’s coaching staff for years.
The senior at Narbonne HS in Harbor City, Calif. picked up a scholarship offer from the Trojans back when he was only a freshman at Hawkins HS. Tee Martin targeted him and offered him a scholarship the same day Joseph Lewis and Greg Johnson signed with USC.
Flash forward to 2019 and Berry is still a target for USC’s coaching staff. While Tee Martin has moved on to coach at Tennessee, Berry is showing interest in the Trojans.
On Thursday evening Berry backed off his pledge to LSU, a school he had committed to in February of this year. USC247.com caught up with the 6-foot-2, 330-pounder and asked him if he was considering a visit to USC’s campus soon. Berry responded with a “yes.”
If USC does manage to sign Berry it would be a massive victory for the 2020 USC class. The Trojans have struggled mightily when it comes to securing local talent and Berry is one of the best defensive lineman the Southland.
