OU commit says USC has a chance because of grad assistant
While Darion Green-Warren plays football at Mater Dei HS, he grew up in Edmond, Okla. as an Oklahoma Sooners fan.
That’s a part of the reason why he decided to commit to the Sooner coaching staff last summer.
That hasn’t stopped the USC coaches from continuing to pursue the 6-foot, 190-pounder. And that hard work might just pay off. Green-Warren acknowledges that he might just consider USC. He gives credit for that to one of USC’s graduate assistants.
“Hiring Chris Hawkins was big for me,” Green-Warren told USC247.com when asked if USC had a chance to flip him from Oklahoma. “He is like a mentor for me and (fellow Mater Dei CB) Elias (Ricks). But I still need to see how things are going up there. I’m still OU but I want to see how things going this spring and early season.”
