Three-star safety commits to USC
In desperate need of defensive backs, USC coaches reached from the Golden State of California to the Lone Star State of Texas to pull in a safety from North Shore HS in Houston.
That safety would be Dorian Hewitt, a 6-foot-2, 200-pounder who chose the Trojans over the likes Baylor, Syracuse and Utah.
“Fight On,” Hewitt said on Twitter, announcing his intentions to sign with USC on Wednesday.
Hewitt was left impressed after an official visit to see USC this past weekend. It was after that trip that the Trojans edged ahead of others in the competition for Hewitt’s signature. He also visited Syracuse and Utah in the weeks leading up to his commitment.
