Monday Whispers: A Coach's View On Spring Practice
I spoke to a USC assistant coach about last week’s spring practices. What did he think?
“They are a little more intense and faster than last year,” the coach said. “That’s a good start.”
The coach believes USC players will be motivated to make up for last year’s 5-7 season.
“The players will have a chip on their shoulder,” the coach.
One question is whether Clay Helton’s new stern approach will last?
“The truth is the players get away with too much,” the coach said. “I don’t see that changing, really.”
The USC baseball team is 5-9 after losing to UCLA on Sunday, 7-5, at Dodger Stadium.
You know what it is interesting about that? A big-time booster called Swann about it and he didn’t respond.
