USC makes an impression on a Texas CB
Universally recognized four-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern made a long journey from the Lone Star State of Texas to Los Angeles to visit USC this past weekend.
But the trip paid off.
Shortly after his time on campus, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound rising senior from Trinity Christian HS in Cedar Hill received good news.
The Trojan coaching staff decided to extend a scholarship offer.
When USC247.com caught up with McGlothern, he said he enjoyed his time at USC. He also said he was hoping to be recruited by the Trojans.
“The USC offer means a lot,” McGlothern said. “I’ve been waiting on it for the longest time and I have so much interest.”
If he does commit to USC, McGlothern would be a perfect fit in Clancy Pendergast’s scheme. The USC defensive coordinator loves taller cornerbacks. But currently, McGlothern is expected to stay closer to home.
