DE target says USC is one of his five favorites
Quality high school defensive linemen are always in high demand when college coaches are out scouting for potential recruits. That’s especially true on the West Coast. In states bordering the Pacific Ocean, wide receivers and defensive backs seem to be a dime a dozen. Talented players who weigh closer to 300-pounds are a bit harder to find.
So when the signing days for the class of 2020 are approaching, Folsom HS defensive end DeShawn Lynch is expected to be a hot commodity. He’s already starting to get some very serious exposure. On Wednesday, USC coaches offered him a scholarship, joining the likes of Arizona State, Fresno State, Oregon, Oregon State, Sacramento State, San Jose State and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect was thrilled to pick up a scholarship offer from USC.
“I just got a call and they were telling me how their campus was good and how the coaching staff was and they just offered me,” Lynch told USC247.com.
He says that the Trojans are currently one of his favorite choices.
“They’re top five,” Lynch said.
Expect plenty of more opportunities to come Lynch’s way before he makes a decision. Regardless, it seems USC will be one of his top options for awhile.
