Four-star RB: The USC offer is a dream come true for me
USC coaches are looking towards the future when it comes to the running back position. They’re also looking towards the Lone Star State.
That’s why Brandon Campbell picked up a scholarship offer from USC on Wednesday. And it might have been a good idea for Trojan coaches to offer him a scholarship so far away from signing day 2021.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound ball carrier from Pearland, Texas HS seems thrilled to have USC as an option this early on.
“Coach (Joe) DeForest came out a few weeks prior and said he was impressed with me and their running back coach was very impressed with me,” Campbell told USC247.com. “Today I came up to the school to drop off my exemption forms for my final exams. I went to talk to my coach then he told me USC wanted to extend me an offer. It was a dream come true for me.”
Although this speedy four-star tailback is just a rising junior, he already has an impressive list of scholarship offers. USC was his ninth scholarship offer and his third from a power five school. Arkansas and Virginia Tech are the other two power five schools that have offered scholarships to Campbell.
