Monday Whispers: Bru McCoy Is Homesick

Monday Whispers: Bru McCoy Is Homesick

Wide receiver Bru McCoy, who initially left USC because he felt the work habits of the program were a joke, is homesick and would like to come back and play for the Trojans.

McCoy is currently with his family in Palos Verdes and has not informed Texas he will transfer. He has sent out feelers to USC, however, that he would like to return.

Does USC have a scholarship? That was an issue brought up when Chris Steele left Florida but it did not matter because Steele eventually went to Oregon. USC usually finds ways to open up a scholarship, however, when it needs one.

The Trojans are desperate for good news and would do whatever they can to take McCoy. His Mater Dei friends are also encouraging him to return to USC.

There should be some news in the next 2-3 days because Texas starts summer workouts Tuesday and the Longhorns are willing to give McCoy a few days to contemplate his future.
