3-star DT Pepe commits to USC
USC landed another camp-related commitment on Friday as St. John Bosco DT Kobe Pepe announced on twitter that he was choosing the Trojans over scholarship offers from around the country.
The universally recognized three-star recruit landed a scholarship offer from USC on Thursday, after an impressive performance at USC’s elite camp. Now he’s the first defensive lineman to commit to USC’s 2020 class.
“I am humbled and thankful to be in this position today,” Pepe said on Twitter. “To God be the glory and through him all things are possible. The recruiting process has been such a blessing and I am excited for what God has in store for me. I would like to thank my dad and mom for their continuous guidance throughout my life. I love you. My sisters, Khylee and Krissy for their love and support. Pastors, elders and members of our church for your prayers. To all my family and friends, thank you. Bosch family, Coach Jason negro and his staff for putting me in a position to be able to achieve my goals. A special thanks goes out to Coach Terry Bullock for being in my corner since day one and a big reason for where I am today. I also would like to thank Jesse Sapolu, men in the trenches and its staff for the training and support. Lastly, I would like to thank all the college that have recruited me throughout this process. With that being said, I would like to announce that I am 100-percent committed to the University of Southern California.”
While Pepe just recently got the scholarship offer from USC, he’s been on the Trojans’ radar for sometime. He’s the seventh commitment in USC’s 2020 class so far.
