2020 OT Andres Dewerk commits to USC
The summer camp season at USC has led to a flurry of commitments from linemen. The latest prospect to announce his pledge to USC is Andres Dewerk. Dewerk is a 6-foot-7, 300-pound universally recognized three-star prospect from Los Gatos, Calif. HS.
Dewerk was one of the standout prospects at USC’s camps and earned a scholarship offer based on that performance. That was enough to lead him to an pledge.
“First off, I would like to thank God for all the blessings; without him none of this would be possible,” Dewerk said on Twitter. “I would also like to thank my friends and family for pushing me to be the best that I can be. I want to thank my friends and teammates for supporting me throughout this process. I wanna give a big shoutout to all of my high school coaches for preparing me for the next level and for life beyond football. I would like to thank Coach Rolle from five-star lineman academy for refining my technique and for making me an overall better player. Lastly, I want to thank all of the coaches that have recruited me up until this point for believing in me. I am truly grateful to be in this position and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given. I realize that I’m living my dream, and it wouldn’t be all possible without those mentioned above. This journey is not over, I still have some work to do. And with all that being said, I am honored to announce that I am committed to the University of Southern California.
