Thursday Whispers: Is The Culture Change Completed?
Clay Helton and the coaches have talked extensively in the offseason about changing the culture of the football program.
So I asked someone who works on the coaching staff if he thinks the transformation is complete after nearly two weeks of training camp.
“We have great talent at receiver,” the coach said. “But we still look like individuals more than a team.”
The coach also said the QB competition has been arranged to favor JT Daniels, which surprises no one who is close to the program.
“Daniels will be the starter because he has been given all the opportunties in practice. It’s all set up ahead of time. He gets the most reps of any quarterback with the first team and they sometimes start drives over if the offense sputters.”
