Oregon commit embraces USC interest
Anthony Beavers committed to Oregon back in April, citing how he grew up a Ducks fans and that leaving home for college was his best option.
USC coaches hope to change his mind.
A month after Beavers announced his intention to enroll at Oregon, USC offered him a scholarship.
Now it’s September and the Trojans are still making him a priority target.
“They are just showing a lot of love,” Beavers told USC247.com when asked about his contact with Trojan coaches. “(I’m) embracing the love.”
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety from Narbonne HS in Harbor City, Calif. also says USC is “blowing the mail box up.”
When asked if he could flip his commitment from Oregon to USC, Beavers replied with the eyes emoji.
Besides Oregon and USC, Beavers says he’s also considering Arizona State, Stanford, Texas Tech and West Virginia. Since Beavers is just a junior in high school, he doesn’t have to sign a letter of intent until February 2021.
